Dismissal of President of Albania / Lack of Constitutional in favor of President
The majority insists President Ilir Meta has violated the constitution by announcing June 30 as a date for local elections. In addition, Meta decreed a new election date, October 13. But the elections were held on June 30, as the majority took steps to dismiss Meta. They set up an inquiry commission and asked for an opinion from the Venice Commission, but the Constitutional Court says the final word is that we do not have one.According to the majority Ilir Meta has committed a serious act which should be investigated and then if the commission concludes that the violation is serious, according to Article 90 of the Constitution, it will be dismissed and the process will be certified by the new Constitutional Court. But the Constitutional Court, as CNA.al has warned earlier, will not be ready in September. As a result, neither President Meta is likely to “enjoy” any imminent dismissal.Meanwhile, Prime Minister Edi Rama continues to talk about the new institutions of justice reform and the establishment of the Constitution in September.Who is lying to Rama, who will have a Constitutional Court in September, is the question.Because the short-sighted drafters of the constitutional package and the laws of justice, while writing, were counting their income, not the fate of the institutions of justice. So far, although provided for by the acts in force that regulate the functioning of the Assembly, there is no publication of funds spent as donations and assistance (for which the beneficiary, the Parliament of Albania) is in the process of judicial reform. After a quick, informal calculation, every high-level expert was paid up to 7,000 euros a month during the drafting of the acts. The Assembly is obliged to publish the data on non-governmental organizations as well as on expenditures, when the beneficiary of the project product in the form of laws is the Assembly. The perfect case is the case of justice reform
